When using the pressure cooker to cook any food, after the pressure release cap starts to vent, only use low heat, keeping the heat at a level where the release cap rotates slowly to expel steam.
1. When cooking with the pressure cooker, always monitor the time carefully and ensure fire safety when cooking outdoors.
2. Once the pressure cooker starts venting, the release cap will rotate quickly and expel steam, indicating that the cooker has reached a high-pressure boiling state. At this point, adjust the flame to low or very low heat. Once the heat is lowered, you will notice that the rotation speed of the release cap slows down, and the venting becomes gentler. This is the ideal cooking state for the pressure cooker and helps prevent excessive pressure inside the pot.
3. After receiving the pressure cooker, you can first test it by boiling water. Observe how the pressure release valve cap rotates and vents steam, and try adjusting the stove’s heat, noting any changes in the release cap. Once you are familiar with these operations, you can use the pressure cooker to cook rice, make soup, or stew meat.
4. In low-altitude outdoor environments, if high pressure is not needed, you can remove the pressure release cap to instantly convert the high-pressure cooker into a low-pressure cooker.
